Enhancing Skin color and Texture
Uneven coloration and general appearance of the skin can be enhanced through various preventive and corrective procedures.
Various factors influence the health and appearance of the skin. Mainly, it's a matter of heredity but environmental conditions, physical and mental health, and lifestyle are also factors.
Photo-aging can begin in your twenties for those with fair skin, or as a result of prolonged exposure to the sun (sunbathing) and tanning in salons. It is also more prevalent in smokers. In minor cases, the skin loses its suppleness and vitality. As this condition progresses mottled skin discoloration occurs: dark in places and yellowish or redder in others, permanently dilated blood vessels become visible on the cheeks, chin, and sides of the nose, and fine lines develop (other than normal smile lines).
These signs of photo-aging will inevitably develop into brown spots, rosacea, deeper wrinkles, grey skin tone, or, as is often the case, precancerous skin lesions. Correction of skin discoloration and treatment of photo-aging will restore the skin's suppleness, glow and youthful appearance.
Preventive measures consist of improving personal health by not smoking, maintaining a healthy diet without excessive alcohol use, and, above all, avoiding tanning in salons or in the sun, and always applying sunscreen to protect against ultraviolet rays.
Therapeutic measures include a wide range of options. These range from use of ANTI-AGING AND REJUVENATION PRODUCTS, to gentle and progressive treatments such as the PEEL that allow normal work or activity to continue, to more extensive treatments when photo-aging is further advanced, such as MICRODERMABRASION, which needs 3 to 4 days of recovery time, or ERBIUM LASER treatment, where recovery is from 5 to 7 days.
